Effective date: June 22, 2026
Hotpl ("the app", "we", "us") is a personal place-saving app. This policy explains what data the app handles and how. In short: Hotpl stores everything on your device and does not collect, transmit, or sell your personal data.
We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to our servers. Hotpl has no user accounts, no sign-up, and no backend servers operated by us.
All content you create in the app — place names, notes, tags, saved pin locations, and visit history — is stored locally on your device only. We have no access to it.
Hotpl can request access to your device location. This permission is optional — the app works without it. When granted, location is used only to:
Your location is not sent to us and is not stored anywhere except, if you choose to save a place at a location, as coordinates kept locally on your device.
Hotpl uses the Google Maps Platform to display maps. When maps are shown, Google may receive information such as map requests and, if you have granted the permission, your device location, in order to render the map. This processing is governed by Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy, and the Google Maps Platform terms.
The app contains no advertising, no analytics, and no third-party tracking SDKs.
We do not share, sell, or rent your data to anyone. There is no data on our side to share.
Because your data lives only on your device, you are in full control:
Hotpl is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any data from them. (As above, the app collects no personal data from anyone.)
If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above and post the new version at this URL.
